Exeter City test their unbeaten away record (!) with a tough trip to Bradford.

Having recorded a win and a draw on their travels, the Grecians would be delighted to return with any sort of result from their second place hosts.

Vital Quotes:

City boss Paul Tisdale told the Express & Echo: ‘It’s the perfect testing ground for us – a great chance to see how good our progression really is.

‘Bradford are going to be a really good opponent and this is another chance to assess how good our young players are.

‘They will be a very good attacking side and they have probably got the best strikeforce in the league.

Yes, yes, Tiz, but now that Ben Watson has scored a goal – bringing City’s strikers’ total to one between the six of them – we should be letting Bradford worry about us!

Bradford City Team News:

Bradford boss Stuart McCall is likely to name an unchanged team from that which won 2-0 at Port Vale.

Player to watch: Omar Daley

Speedy and skilful, the Jamaican international will pose a serious threat on the left wing. Certainly if he`s given as much time and space down the left as Accrington were afforded last week, we could be in a spot of bother.

Exeter City Team News:

Adam Stansfield is fit again, but Craig McAllister starts a three match ban having been sent of for the reserves at Plymouth.

Player to watch: Steve Tully

Sorry to go on about the Omar Daley threat, but he’ll be a big test for our Steve. With one a Jamaican international and the other from Paignton, it’s a battle of the beach boys out there…

Anorak Corner

Future Bradford, Wigan and Derby manager – and angry Scouser – Paul Jewell scored two goals when City last went to Valley Parade. The Grecians lost (whisper it) 6-0.

Exeter City last won at the Valley Parade a shade under 25 years ago. Stan McEwan and Peter Rogers scored in the first win of the Gerry Francis season – in October!!!

Match Prediction:

Bradford have scored two in each of their last five games, and they could well score two again against City. City have notched one goal in both of our away games, so we’ll be putting our fiver on a 2-1 home win.

If it comes in, it’ll pay for half the petrol costs!

Next Fixtures:

Notts County visit St James Park next Saturday.
