Exeter were due to be at St James Park Stadium as the hosts to Oxford United for the latest league match this weekend.

The game against Oxford, was set for a 3pm kick-off however, due to the weather conditions in recent days during the build up to the game, and the conditions on the day when the referee inspected the pitch, this match has now been postponed.

It isn’t the only League game today to fall foul of the ‘weather conditions’ and be postponed, as other matches across the football pyramid have also suffered the same fate, and been called off by the match day referee in charge of the game.

A new date for the fixture will be announced once it has been agreed between both clubs and ratified by the Football League.

Groundsman Clive Pring tweeted as the game was called off.

‘My apologies to all #ecfc and #oufc supporters but for the first game this year mother nature has beaten us @OfficialECFC’
