Exeter City striker Craig McAllister has joined League 2 side Barnet on a month`s loan.

The former Oxford United striker featured in City`s first five games, but after picking up an injury hasn`t featured.

McAllister was regarded as City`s ‘super sub` last season, and played a notable role in the season`s promotion campaign. Perhaps his best performance was his brace in January`s 2-1 victory at Dagenham and Redbridge. Aside for the two goals, McAllister was the perfect target man of the basis of that game.

Nevertheless, this is probably a good deal for all three parties. Barnet are starting to slip after their promising start, and McAllister needs games. With his City contract up at the end of the season, some will deem it unlikely that they will ever see McAllister in a City shirt again. Excuse the cliché, but anything can happen in football. Most players have been given a chance at some point under Tisdale, and the City manager may yet turn to the big man this season.
