Exeter City forward Marcus Stewart has called for supporters to be positive and get behind the team.

The Grecians drew 1-1 with fellow strugglers Gillingham on Monday, and the 37 old said of the supporters to the official site “we need them more than ever now for the last 10/12 home games”.

There has been a lot of unnecessary negatively from some quarters, and the former Ipswich Town striker reminded fans that the players can hear them. “We can hear it and it is hard and frustrating for us, and hopefully we can turn it around. If anything just be quiet and let us get on with it”.

There is no doubt the fans can be the much heralded 12th man, and they will be needed in the upcoming home games, starting with the toughest of them all, a tie with runaway leaders Leeds United.
