City will be one of thirty-two teams in the hat for the first round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
The draw will be held on Sky’s Soccer AM this Saturday, when a certain Torquay supporter might just note that her side aren’t in the competition.
The ties will be played very early in the season, on September 2nd or 3rd.
Sixteen sides got byes, including League Two sides Gillingham, Luton and Wycombe in the Southern Section of the draw.

aldershot will win it
You couldn’t even win the FA Trophy, Shot! I wonder what odds you’d get on the winners being one of the last four teams to go up from the Conf: City, Shots, Daggers and Morecambe?
I wonder how the crowds will hold up for the early rounds of this one. I remember playing Bristol Rovers (or was it Cardiff) at home a few years back and there were less than 2,000 people there. A local derby game is on the cards either way, so another game to look forward to that we did not have last season. Still one to be treated with some importance. Remember how close we were against Port Vale?
