Goal Keeper Paul Jones has joined Peterborough United on loan until the end of the season.

Jones recently passed the 200 game mark for City but has since dropped down the pecking order behind Artur Krysiak and new recruit Ben Hamer.

He will compete with highly rated stopper Joe Lewis at London Road.

Posh manager Darren Ferguson told the clubs official website how pleased he was to get his man.

‘Paul is a very highly rated goalkeeper, he is a good age, and is out of contact in the summer so this is a good opportunity to get him in,’ he said.

”Paul wanted to come down straight away and we are delighted to have him on board.

‘He will provide competition for Joe Lews, which I think he needs. This signing does not mean that Joe will be leaving, I just feel he needs a bit of competition.

‘We have seen Paul play, we know all about him and he will prove to be a good signing for us.’
