Stewart Possibly Out Until Christmas

Marcus Stewart is set to be out for the next month after injuring his ankle ligaments in Exeter’s draw with Rotherham on Tuesday.

Manager Paul Tisdale believes that the striker has suffered a pretty severe injury: ‘He’s gone over on his ankle ligaments which are pretty badly torn,’ Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon. ‘It was very disappointing because he is one of the senior players.’

The veteran did leave the ground on crutches, but at the moment Tisdale believes it is too soon to know the amount of time he will be out for, but should know in the coming days, adding: ‘We’ll only find out in the next few days, as is the case with ligament strains.

‘It could be anything from two to four or five weeks depending on how bad it is but we can’t say that until we see how it settles over the next 48 hours.’

How much of a setback do you think this injury to Marcus Stewart is to Exeter?
