With four departures already announced Paul Tisdale has said he wants to see our other experienced players step up the plate next campaign and help lead the team.

Speaking to the Official Site the manager explained.

‘The likes of Craig Woodman, Pat Baldwin, Arron Davies and Tommy Docherty who joined us last season – who had had poor seasons before – had a chance to get going again. They understand the club, they understand their roles, they’ve played regularly and been trusted. They’ve been given the opportunity and have had ups and downs with their performances and have been continually selected. They’re going into a side now where they need to be the ones who drive the performance of the side.’

Tisdale says it’s very important next season, with the players who have left and with the players who will be promoted, that those with experience really pass it on to the youngsters and help guide them as the season progresses because it will be another learning curve for the youngsters and we saw this season what that is like.
