Following the final days action with a thumping 4-0 loss to Chesterfield, Paul Tisdale has focused on the positives ahead of our next campaign.

Speaking to the Official Site after Tisdale took the chance to blood our younger players, he said of their performances.

‘I’m really pleased with the way those young players played. I think it’s the sign of things to come over the next 18 months or two years. It was a good opportunity to see them play and try one or two things differently – we were a bit naive at times, and maybe a little bit too nice in certain areas of the pitch, but I enjoyed the game.’

Tisdale does say that it’s never nice to lose a game, let alone by a 4 goal margin, but he did see a lot of progress in the game that he feels he can build on next season and improve further.

Tisdale hopes that Exeter can repeat our form this season and be in with a shout of a play off battle again next term, where hopefully injuries will be kinder to us, but also the very youngsters we’ve had to throw in will be better for the experience, so hopefully they will cope better in the future as well.
