With the game, so far, remaining on, manager Paul Tisdale has said that he can’t wait to host a club like Portsmouth and he feels the fans will enjoy the atmosphere that is created on the day.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of this weekends game as the build up continues, Tisdale said of our opponents.

‘Portsmouth are one of the more attractive teams in the league, if you look at the history of their league positions over the past ten years, and that they have won the FA Cup recently and have had lots of very good players that have played there. They are a particularly vibrant club with a big support.’

Of course we have our own experience from the league encounter at Fratton Park earlier in the campaign where we almost pulled off a great come back, and Tisdale feels that that kind of atmosphere will be on show again, and he knows how footballers can rise to the challenge of an atmosphere in games, as it always pulls a little something extra out of them.

Scot Bennett has also talked about the atmosphere that should happen during the game, and he’s called on the faithful to completely out sing our visitors on the day, because the players certain intend on giving them something to shout about.

‘I think our fans haven’t had the most to cheer this season – I don’t think our home form has been good enough. But if they get behind the boys, we could do with that – we really need the fans to get behind us to raise spirits. Anything that will help to turn that around is going to be brilliant.’

All eyes on an update for the game given the weather I suppose.
