Tisdale Pleased By Fans’ Backing

Paul Tisdale is pleased to see that the majority of fans are with him and the team, despite some grumbles from the crowd in the game against Rochdale.

Speaking to This Is Exeter following the disappointing loss, the gaffer said.

‘I heard one or two idiots behind me, yelling at me, to be ‘honest’. Well, what is there to say. I back the players, what’s so dishonest about that? We are a very average League Two club who is in a very good position with the heart of the team, all the talent, ripped out of the middle. It was a poor performance, but with players trying their hardest.’

Tisdale did say the matter gave him something to smile about, by adding.

‘What delighted me was that in response to those few ignorant comments, there were a dozen more coming back saying they support the players. That is fantastic, because that makes you more than just an average club then because you are backing your players.’
