Manager Paul Tisdale has given his reaction to news that Exeter have again been awarded the FA Respect Award for the second season running.

The Fair Play Trophy recognises discipline throughout the season and with another top disciplinary record from all three Football League divisions, Exeter have been awarded the prize.

We picked up only 47 yellow cards across the 2014-15 campaign and just a single red. This meant a return of 200 disciplinary points and that was unrivalled by sides from the Championship through to League Two.

Speaking to the Official Site with the award being known, the gaffer insisted that talking about discipline wasn’t something we actually did.

‘You need to look at the last four or five years and see where we sit in the rankings then to see that it`s not a coincidence. That goes for the other teams at the top also. That`s us – we don`t go out there trying to win it. It`s just a by-product of the way we think and the way we play.’

Tisdale went on to say that there was no great secret or great plan because it wasn’t a priority the priority is to play well and win games.

‘But it`s the way we play and the way we act, and I have to say, it`s never mentioned. We never talk about discipline – we just play the way we play and we are who we are. I think we stick to that.’
