Manager Paul Tisdale has called on the team to get three back to back wins on the trot for the first time this season when we face Accrington Stanley this weekend.

Fresh from wins against Fleetwood Town and Plymouth Argyle, we are on a run of three unbeaten but the gaffer would dearly love that to become four unbeaten but with the three wins to really give everyone something to celebrate.

Speaking to the Official Site Tisdale was clear that his target was three wins in eight days and to really set us up for the final matches of the season.

‘We’ve got a few incentives this week. One is to win three games in a row, and continue our form and results to build that momentum. Another is to add another home win, so that last week isn’t a one off. And we are getting close to what we think would be a stamp of safety for the season.’

Tisdale says that although we are close to what he would consider safety, we aren’t there yet so nobody can relax and be complacent at our recent upturn, we simply need to keep it going and really build on it now.

‘When you’re playing well, you’ve got to make the most of it. You’ve got to make hay while the sun shines. We’ve had a good week, but that’s it.’

With the focus being the next game and the next three points, the gaffer does say that people can allow themselves a nice smile at our previous games because you are in football to enjoy it and we haven’t had enough to enjoy this season, but for the players feeling happy as they do with our last two results should be all the motivation they need to feel happy on a more regular basis now and if we do that, then come the end of the season when the hair comes down, people can really enjoy it.
