Watson Loan Deal Falls Through

Ben Watson`s proposed loan move to Forest Green Rovers has fallen through after the Exeter City striker suffered a recurrence of a calf injury.

The former Grays Athletic Striker has struggled with injuries for the majority of his time at St. James Park, and this loan move was engineered to give Watson some much needed mach practice.

Watson was initially signed on loan from Grays towards the end of the 2007/08 season. He played an instrumental role in securing the Grecians promotion from the Conference by scoring a penalty at Plainmoor against rivals Torquay United in the semi-final of the play-offs.
