Exeter City’s promotion chances received a damaging blow today with the news that Matt Taylor will be missing for 4 to 8 weeks.
The centre-back has been in superb form in recent months and is currently winning the vitalfootball vote for City player of the season.
Taylor needed painkilling injections to get through Saturday’s 1-0 win over Bradford and will now see a specialist on Wednesday.
Taylor’s return to the side 10 games ago, a run which has seen just one defeat.
Tisdale told the Express & Echo: ‘Whichever way you look at it, losing Matt is a blow because of the sort of player he is.
‘He will see a specialist on Wednesday so we don’t know the full extent of it yet. But the signs aren’t great.’
