Exeter City go Al Fresco

Exeter City have revealed that, for the next two home games, they will be opening an outside catering area behind the FlyBe stand at St James Park.

The covered area will sell Carlsberg lager, Tribute ale and both Blackthorn and Gaymers cider.

There will also be fish and chips as well as pies and pasties.

The area – known as Red Square – will be trialed at the Luton and Accrington home games, and, if successful, will continue to operate on a permanent basis.

Red Square will open from midday to 3pm on match days, and again from full-time to 6pm.

We like City’s practical thinking here. Yes, truly improved facilities at the Park are clearly the way forward, but, in the short-term, a cheeky outdoor bar, a cheery chip van and a cosy pie stand sound very nice indeed.

We’ll see you there…
