Exeter boss Paul Tisdale yesterday confirmed that they won’t be signing Spurs winger David Hutton but the club haven’t ruled out a future move for the 19-year-old.

Hutton scored both goals in a reserve team meeting with Cheltenham last week as well as appearing against Swansea City’s second team.

Tisdale told the Express & Echo that he was unsure whether to sign Hutton on loan and eventually decided against it.

‘We have decided not to make David an offer,’ said Tisdale.

‘He is a talented player but I have got to make a considered decision and he came very close.

‘But there is a chance that he may be back later in the year if he is still available.’

Tisdale has a large number of midfielders fit and available including Harley, Panther, Edwards, Gill, Saunders, Moxey, Stewart, Cozic, Obersteller and Sercombe and this could well be why he chose to turn down the option to sign Hutton at this present time.

But we shouldn’t rule out a summer move for the winger if he is still on the market.
