Exeter came away from Moss Rose with a 4-1 win over in-form Macclesfield on Saturday.

Exeter were ahead inside a minute as Adam Stansfield (1) followed up a Richard Logan effort that had come back off the bar following a long throw in from Matt Gill. The lead was doubled ten minutes before the break when Ryan Harley (35) scored from the edge of the area but Simon Yeo (45) gave Macclesfield hope on the stroke of half time when he headed home.

Stansfield (48) restored the two-goal cushion early in the second half when he scored his second from close range. Martin Gritton and Yeo both were then both denied by the bar before Gill (85) wrapped up the win five minutes from time.
