Veteran striker Marcus Stewart could score his 250th career goal tomorrow night as the Grecians host Port Vale.

Stewart has bagged seven goals for City this season, including two penalties but it is the early days of his career where he really hit the goal trail.

He began at Bristol Rovers where he scored 79 goals before a £1.2m move to Huddersfield and he responded with 68 goals in just 156 starts.

Stewart really made a name for himself at Ipswich Town where he scored 37 goals including 19 in the 2000/01 Premiership season before moving to Sunderland for over £3m.

He scored 39 goals for Sunderland before signing for Bristol City in 2005.

The goals have begun to dry up as Stewart has regularly played in a more deeper role but he has still managed to score 26 goals since 2005 to leave him on 249 career goals in 630 starts.
