The January transfer window has arrived once more, and as in previous seasons there is speculation over the futures of some Exeter City players.

The Grecians have been accustomed to this over the past years as a direct consequence of their success on the pitch.

On this occasion, young defender Danny Seaborne has been linked with a move. He was earmarked for a move to Crystal Palace or Portsmouth last season before a dip in form and a lack of playing arrival after the January arrival of Troy Archibald Henville.

Perhaps the other member of the City squad likely to attract attention is Ryan Harley. The talented midfielder has beefed up his game, and possesses two excellent feet. He scored two memorable free kicks at Colchester and Stockport in successive weeks in November. At his best, he can control a game, and plays a similar role to Arsenal`s Cesc Fabregas by looking for the ball deep.

Exeter have lost Jamie Mackie, George Friend, Matt Gill and Dean Moxey to higher opposition in recent seasons. Only Mackie left in January, and City fans will hope their top performers choose to stay with the Grecians in their fight to bet the drop from League 1.
